I, originally, embarked upon my educational career as pre-med focused. I acquired useful medical knowledge through many of these courses, and even completed training as a Pediatric Medical Assistant. I thought I wanted to be a physician of Western medicine, and worked at a Pediatrician’s office in Austin during my education. I had the opportunity to know thousands of families, and wanted to know more about them, their children, and help them beyond the typical rashes, sore throats, etc. This was where my true love for Psychology, and a more holistic view of wellness was discovered. I was also self employed, and through various services in Austin, as a nanny for over 40 families. I enjoyed my experience working up close, in the home, with a diverse variety of family dynamics.

I have a BA Degree in Psychology and Business, and an MA Degree in Professional Counseling. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the state of Texas, and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).  My specialties and experience include Psychotherapy with individual adults and teens, Play Therapy with children, and offer Child-Parent Relationship Therapy/ Parent coaching.

I have facilitated Group Therapy, Individual Therapy, Couple’s Therapy, CPRT/Parent Coaching, and Play Therapy at the following locations throughout my career:

LifeWorks of Austin. Settlement Home of Austin. KidWorks of Austin

South Austin Counseling. Alive Austin. San Marcos Treatment Center

I now live in Buda, TX with my two amazing kids. When not doing therapy, or researching, I enjoy walking on the various trails throughout the Austin area with friends. I also love hanging out with family on patios, and practicing yoga.
